Eligibility for Visit Visa
Depending on your nationality, you might either require a visit visa for entry into the UAE or be eligible for a free on-arrival visa.
However, the UAE’s eligibility criteria for a visit visa are notably straightforward, distinguishing them from the more stringent requirements of countries like the UK or the USA.
To obtain a UAE visit visa, you need a valid passport with a minimum 6-month validity period (please note that travel documents won’t be accepted).
Additionally, upon your arrival in the UAE, you must possess return flight tickets, as immigration officers might request them at the counter.
It’s advisable to ensure you have this proof readily available.
Please note:
When you arrange your visa through an airline or tourism company, you may encounter requests for supplementary documentation.
As a result, these companies often ask for these additional requirements to ensure that you smoothly leave the UAE within the specified timeframe.
These requests serve as a guarantee that you will exit on time, thereby improving the overall process.
Age Limit:
Curious about the age criteria for securing a UAE Visit Visa for your solo escapade to the captivating cities of Abu Dhabi or Dubai?
Most importantly for solo female travelers aiming to embark on a UAE adventure, it’s important to note that those below 18 years of age are ineligible to apply for a Visit Visa.
Instead, if a journey to the UAE is on the horizon, they must be accompanied by their parents.
Notably, a cabinet resolution dated July 2018 outlines that children below 18 traveling alongside their parents can avail of a complimentary visa annually from July 15th to September 15th.
However, it’s prudent to consider that this provision could be impacted by prevailing COVID-19 conditions, potentially leading to a temporary suspension of this offer.
Certainly, in scenarios where either parent is employed in the UAE and holds a valid permit, an alternative route is available.
Obtaining a visa remains attainable by engaging a tour operator and fulfilling supplementary documentation requirements.
Please note:
✣ For Nigerian single travelers of either gender venturing solo, a minimum age of 40 is stipulated. This criterion applies to both males and females.
✣ Moreover, for married Nigerian women journeying with their children, the age threshold of 40 years or above also holds.
✣ It’s important to bear in mind that particular age restrictions come into play for Nigerian nationals seeking a 3-month Dubai visa, adding a layer of consideration to your travel plans.
Please remember, these specifications could evolve due to changing circumstances, so it’s advisable to stay updated with the latest guidelines before setting out on your UAE expedition.
Required Documents for Visit Visa
In accordance with your nationality and age, additional documents may be required alongside the essential prerequisites. These prerequisites include:
- A legible color photocopy of your passport
(it is advisable to use a scanner for this purpose) - A recent color photograph
(featuring a white background and excluding glasses)
✣ For Pakistani nationals, it is pertinent to provide a copy of the passport’s signature page, along with the front and back sides of the national ID card.
✣ In the case of children, an additional criterion necessitates furnishing a copy of the child’s birth certificate. However, this stipulation applies if the mother’s or father’s name is not listed in the child’s passport.
Adhering to these document provisions ensures a comprehensive and efficient visa application process.
