What are the types of family visas?
In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), several types of family visas allow expatriates to bring their family members to reside with them.
For instance, the following are some common types of family visas in the UAE, please note that the documents required for each type are different. Above all, note that visa regulations can be subject to change.
Spouse Residence Visa (Inside UAE): This visa allows expatriates working in the UAE to sponsor their legally married spouse for residency who are already within the country.
Spouse Residence Visa (Outside UAE): Similar to the inside UAE spouse visa, this category permits expatriates to sponsor their legally married spouse who is outside the UAE to join them.
Child Residence Visa (Inside UAE): Expatriates can sponsor the residence of their biological or adopted children who are already in UAE under this visa category.
Child Residence Visa (Outside UAE): For bringing children from outside the UAE to live with their expatriate parents.
Residence Visa Process for Spouse (WIFE/ HUSBAND)

- Marriage Certificate UAE Embassy attested scanned copy
- Sponsor Emirates ID Copy, Register in UAE PASS App and Tenancy Contract

- If Investor- Trade license copy and memorandum of association copy
Residence Visa Process for CHILD
- Applicant’s computer scanned passport copy
- Latest photo of applicant from studio
- Sponsor’s passport copy & Visa page
- Birth Certificate UAE Embassy attested scanned copy
- Sponsor Emirates ID Copy, Register in UAE PASS App and Tenancy Contract
- Salary contract copy- Labor contract (Minimum 4000 salary needed)
- If Investor- Trade license copy and memorandum of association copy
Note:
- If investor/ Sponsor: AED 3080/- security deposit needs to be paid for each family member in the immigration (Refundable).
- Medical is not required for kids less than 18 years old.
- Once arrive on the new visa you have 60 days to complete the medical, Emirates ID, and Visa stamping.
- File opening / inside entry permit / change status: In case the file has been opened before, the file opening charge of 250 AED will be reduced.
Processing Time for UAE Residence visa
When applying for a residence visa in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), it’s important to have an understanding of the processing time involved.
That is to say that, the exact processing time can vary depending on individual circumstances and the type of residence visa being applied.
Normal processing days are 5-8 working days or less, depending on immigration approval.
Secondly, once the applicant arrives in UAE with a new visa, we will commence the Medical screening, Emirates ID application, and Visa stamping process.
The standard processing time is 10-14 working days or less. However, the Emirates ID will be delivered to your home or office address via courier upon completion of e-visa stamping.
New Born Visa Requirements in UAE
Obtaining a visa for a newborn in the UAE involves several key requirements to ensure a smooth application process.
Sponsors must provide a copy of their Emirates ID, passport copy with the visa page, and labor contract.
Additionally, the newborn’s passport copy, birth certificate, and one passport-sized photo are required.
The cost of the newborn visa is 1,400 AED, covering the essential documentation and processing fees.

Family Visa Renewal Charges in UAE
